Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
hello, One of my managers has been spreading rumors about me having STD's to my co-workers, supervisors and one of my other managers. he said i took it the wrong way and it was just a "joke". Is this considered sexual harassment? Recently i received a voice mail of him saying they had to cut my shift because there was not enough money in pay roll. I walked in the day they cut my shift and i find out they extended peoples shifts and aswell as used people's on call shifts to cover my scheduled shift they cut. can i take any legal action? is there retaliation involved?

Yes, sexual harassment, possibly (depending upon further relevant facts), and possible defamation as well.
