Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Marital Descrimination??

A few months ago, a few of us at work decided to go back to school to get our licenses. At first, the company I work for said that they would pay for all of our schooling if we agreed to a few terms and signed a contract saying that we would work there for a certain amount of years after we recieved our licenses. To prevent us from leaving as soon as we got licensed. Then a few days later I was approached and told that I would have a different contract then everyone else because my husband was in the military and I am a flight risk. My contract will be much more strict than the other girls. Is this legal?

Re: Marital Descrimination??

Yes, of course, it's legal--and why wouldn't it be? (Being married to a person in the military is not one of the protected categories recognized under federal anti-discrimination laws.)
