Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I am an office manager in VA and was recently told a compliant has been filed to the EEOC stating I discriminate at work. This is a fasle claim. What is the next step for the EEOC to take and can I fight back claiming slander?

If the EEOC finds the facts in this claim of discrimination sufficiently credible,
it will most likely initiate an investigation and you may be contacted by one
this agency's investigators.
And, no, slander is not likely to work as a defense to counter this claim
with the EEOC under the circumstances as described.
