Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I am a part owner of a small LLC in Virginia. One of my partners brought up a concern that we need an appeals process in regards to decisions made about employees. (hiring and firing) His concern is protecting us from suit by employees who are terminated or rescheduled. Currently all our "employees" are volunteers, but will eventually be paid employees. Is there a law that requires such an appeals process?

No, there is not (as far as I am aware). Virginia is an employment at will

jurisdiction where such issues may be dealt with in a contract or, more commonly, not at all when there is no such contract.
