Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

We have a pastor who has turned in his 30 day resignation. We are letting him do the services till his 30 days are up. Is he suppose to already have turned in all documents, keys,etc belonging to the church. He has the administrative password to our accounting software and will not had it or the software over.

If the pastor fails to turn over the church's property by the time he leaves, church

authorities could then file what's called a warrant in detinue against him in the local general district court for the return of this property.
