Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Polygraph Test at Work

Recently someone at my Burger King restaurant stole $400 during the night shift. Now they are telling everyone including the day and morning shift thatthey have to take the polygraph test which I know they legally do not have to do so. And that is not reasonably suspecting someone because not every employee was there during the night shift. They said that they can fire anyone who refuses to take the test because we signed a paper at the beginning of employment. I know that the law says you can't discharge or discipline someone for not taking it. But since we signed that form, can they fire someone for not taking it although the laws says you can't fire someone for refusing to take it?

Re: Polygraph Test at Work

Someone who may be in jeopardy of being terminated over this incident would likely be well advised to have an attorney review this particular form and then opine on the matter, accordingly.
