Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I have a question. I 'm a beutician contractor for about 4yrs now. I signed a a basic contract states that they give me a % of what I make and they had set all prices prior my hiring. I was new to the whole independent contractor and didn't know alot of legal things they can't do . Is it true they can't tell me my prices, days, and take a % of what I make? I don't pay rent so really the % they get sometimes is cheaper, but they don't take taxes out and I'm hit with the 30% tax to be taken out of my check. So waht is right. Now I'm leaving the place, but kinda want to know for future jobs.

See a lawyer before signing any such future contract who should be able to advise you on the legal specifics involved in your particular situation
