Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
Hello, my question is this. My wife had a job with a temporary agency which gave her a 6month contract and after the 6months the job would decide if they were going to hire her permentaly or just end the contract. Well she just finished her first month today and the job let go all of the temperary people because they ran out of work for them. But her contract is still good till October of this year. So I wanted to know if there still legally bind to that contract where they still have to pay her or find work for her or is there any type of legal obligation they owe her. She wasnt given any notice of this so she doesnt have time to find another job, they didnt even tell her to her face they didnt need her anymore. She recieved a phone call from them on her way home from work telling her that she is no longer needed. She didnt work with this company long enough to be able to claim unemployment. So is she just out of luck? Thanks for your time and I'm lookin forward to hearing from you.

A lawyer who is experienced and knowledgeable in contract matters should review this particular contract to determine its enforceability(if any).
