Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I realize an employer must pay the difference between jury duty pay and the person's normal pay, but is their a limit of how long we must do this for. What happens if they are on a jury for a long time? Are we still obligated by law to hold their position open and pay the difference.

Yes, as far as I know, that is the case.
