Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

The reason for losing my job is because of losing access to the military base to reach the place of civilian employment . Appealed to commission for denial of unemployment benefits but lost each time. I only know that I was "terminated" but I did not known for reason until hearing the opposing companying testify in court that their answer remains the same, xx name could not reach his place of employment...".which still does not answer the question. Why was I terminated?

I recently asked the company HR reason for losing job and was told "terminated for cause" and again I asked "what cause" (in emails) and company HR said xx company can not longer help you in this matter. Please contact the employment commission for further assistance.

My question is why, and why won't the company tell me the reason of "cause" and do they have to by law?

The cause which supposedly has been offered by this company, i.e., that

the employee(you) "could not reach his place of employment" is apparently suffcient for the purpose of the VEC to evaluate your claim for benefits and nothing further is required.

And, yes, that means that "by law" that they have told all that they have to in this case (in my opinion).
