Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
Recently my company instituted a new policy charging all employees that smoke $130.00 a year. Supposedly we where sent a notice in the mail saying that if we werent smokers we were to go online and make that change. I never received such a notification. Now the company says thats its too late and too bad I will have to wait until open enrollment at the end of 2010 if I want to make a change and in the mean time I will be assessed the $130.00 even though Ive
never smoked in my life. Do I have any recourse?

No, I would think not (assuming you want to continue working for this particular company).
