Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

i was removed from a management position based on my personal sales not the sales of my dept,witch was no.1 in the devision. I never was told that my personal sales would be an issue and I never signed anythin nor was told of my job description only that the job would finantially be the same as my previous salaried position before the dept manager job. I am now an employee working with the employees I was manager for I feel that they are negligant for my finantial and emotional distress. they did sompthing wrong and they know it because they just fired another manager with the same issues.
