Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
can a restaurant change their appearance code on a whim. I have been a server in a fine dinning resaurant in Richmond VA for two years and suddenly they want me to shave my goatee, which I always keep well kempt. I think it's just a power play on their part. Can they ask me to do that?

Yes, they can (and can terminate you with impunity if you refuse-- in my opinion.)
