Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I am a salaried assistant manger in a retail store where I am usually the sole employee with no subordinates, I make 317 a week and commissions if I sell a product but sometimes just my salary I work 45-60 hours in a week and don't get overtime. If I don't make business decisions and I mainly act as a cashier and service technician how am I exempt from fsla protection

If your formal classification is as a "salaried assistant manager", you're not eligible for overtime compensation under U.S. Department of Labor regulations (as I previously explained).

As for your protection under the Fair Labor Standards Act, you haven't indicated what provision of the FLSA you believe may have been violated in regard to your current situation or how you've been specifically "exempted" from protection under this Act.
