Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
salary
I worked for a company from May 6, 2006 to August 30, 2006, when I started with them I request to have off on my daughters birthdays, 7/21, 8/9 & 8/22, during that time I got an accident and I did not work for 2 extra days, my boss told payroll to pay me for one day, because he always told me that I was doing a good job. In August my father got sick in my country, I gave my boss only one week notice to go to my country, when I come back after 3 weeks, I found another job, now he doesn't want to pay me for the last 2 days that I worked, the office mgr at the main office told me that my boss doesn't feel to pay because I was absent from work 5 days during the time I worked for them, my last day was 8/30/06, I call them many times but they don't want to pay, what can I do about this, I am a single mother with 3 daughters, please let me know. thank you

Re: salary
If you feel you are still owed wages by your former employer, you could file suit in small claims court against
this employer for what you feel you're still owed. (It appears, however, from your description of matters, that the employer may not owe you for these last two days if he has already paid you for more than these two days when he compensated you for the previous days in which you were apparently absent from work although he was not required to do so.)
