Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I was scammed while working at chic-fil-a on a front register and have been asked to return the money which resulted from this. The amount was $99 and I have been asked constantly on wether or not I was going to pay and wanted to find out if it is my responsibility for this loss.
