Short term disability

Is a company required to have short disability??

Virginia companies are under no legal obligation to provide their employees with any kind of insurance whether it be STD, general medical or other insurance, unless such is required under the terms of a valid employment contract or collective bargaining type of agreeemnt which covers the affected employees.
