standing up for my rights

I was fired from my job because i stood up for my rites..My mannager told me no matter what time i was schuald to leave work i had to stay untill he said i could leave and there was nothing i could do or say.when i told him that he could not do this without asking me first he promptly fired me ..so where do i stand

Fired, and very likely without recourse in the employment at will jurisdiction known as the Commonwealth of Virginia.
