Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
Suspension from work
I am a 22 year old college student working part-time in a hospital emergency room. I was told today that I am being suspended for three days beginning tomorrow. Three weeks ago, I had already clocked out of work and had words with someone in the parking lot of the hospital. There was no fighting, cursing or any illegal activity. The conversation was overhead by people who told the supervisor. I am now being suspended for unprofessional behavior. Also, no complaint was filed against me by the other person, the supervisor of my department had HR call the person to validate the conversation and now I am being suspended. What should I do? Thank you very much.

Re: Suspension from work
Suck it up, I'm afraid, as some would say in, perhaps, cruder circles. Such is the working life
of the average drudge employee in the employment at will jurisdiction known as the Commonwealth of Virginia.
