Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

Hi, I had to switch job when my FHA loan was getting closed. i had good offer from new company and mortgage issuing bank wanted a better offer letter by putting My bank loan officer (orally) wanted me to forge my company's (public) issue letter to add a extra sentence like "this offer is irrevocable". my new company never wanted to put that sentence as their employment is 'at will' with one day notice.

i tweaked their letter but new company has that found out. what could be legal implications on this ?
