Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I was terminated from employment for insubordination. I was asked to provide a resignation letter after the vice president told me when my last day was due to a pending move of my coice. I refused and was terminated and denied unemployment benefits stating I deliberately violated a known company rule. I understand employment in my state is at-will but can they force me to prepare and sign a document?

No, and you should appeal whatever adverse VEC ruling you may have

received thus far in the matter if the facts which you allege are in fact true.
