Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

termination

I was terminated due to tardiness. I explained that I was unable to wake in the morning and was going to the doctor for the problem. I had just started the position and was still in the probationary period. I feel I was wrongfully terminated. Am I right? Do I have a legal right to get my position back?

Re: termination

You may have been "wrongfully terminated", but in an employment-at-will jurisdiction such as the Commonwealth of Virginia, employees, and, particularly those with probationary status, can be fired for almost any reason which does not contravene federal antidiscrimination laws.
