threats to be fired

i came to work on sat for some over time and my boss comes in complaning that i left the front door two inches open. i have made plenty of mistakes in the past but i dont think this is a good reason to fire some one plus the door doesnt shut un less u push it a ll the way in i remeber putting the lock on door but think my boss might even be lying then he tells me thats it and were through so im getting ready to leave and he tells me to stay one more hour. and to have a good weekend when he leaves. and the whole time he makes it sound like hes gonna fire me on monday. can i take legal action?

No, in Virginia your employer can fire you for any reason as long as you're not working under a contract which offers protection against such summary termination or such termination does not violate any federal anti-discrimination laws.
