Unemployment
I been getting benefit for about four month. The company I work for is appealing my benefits. I was fired do to being absent. The day in question I was very sick and had a Dr.'s note that required me to stay home for two days. I also call my boss the night I went to hostipal and also the called that morning but was still fired. There is a Policy that the company about tardiness & abentiness. Do have still have a chance to keep benefits? Is there a law in Va. that stops the firing of a employee do to illness etc.?

Yes, there's a possibility that you'll be allowed to keep your unemployment benefits if the hearing examiner finds that there was not sufficient "cause" to justify your termination.
The answer to your second question is, no, there is not(as far as I am aware).
