vacation pay
My emplolyer promised to pay me my vacation hours when they laid me off and now they said they are not paying me.

Absent a provision in a contract of employment requiring the employer to provide such a benefit to an employee under the circumstances described, there is no requirement in Virginia law that obligates an employer to do so.
