Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
Verbal Agreement / Employee Handbook Policy
I gave 2 weeks notice and agreed to work 4 additional days in exchange for my accrued unused vacation days(approx $1,300.00). Not the smartest deal - asking for something that was already coming to me as stated in the ''Employee Handbook'', but knowing how past employees had been treated I felt the need to hear it verbally - that I would be paid. I held up my end of the bargain. My former boss however is now refusing to pay.

Re: Verbal Agreement / Employee Handbook Policy
Small claims court, in the amount of $1300, would appear to be your most likely availing remedy.
