If you give a two week notice and then take it back, is that legally binding?

Re: Verbal two week notice

Assuming that there is no contract of employment involved which may require such notice, the two week advance notice to an employer regarding an employee's decision to terminate his or her employment is not a requirement of law in the Commonwealth, and therefore it is not an issue of being "legally binding"---or not. If the employer wants to accept or reject it, the employer is free to do so and without legal consequences, either way.
