Video Streaming at Work

A camera is being installed at the company I work for. Corporate says it is to have a camera on the company logo, but anyone who accesses the company website can watch a live stream, which is pointed directly at my desk. Is live stream legal for my employer to broadcast?

I don't know why it wouldn't be and, no, I see no employee privacy issues implicated here.
