Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

my wife was hired towork at a firm and given a contract for acertain job, she accepted the job and they switched her to an accounting position in payroll, she never felt comfortable and told them she wanted to do what she was hired to do, she was laid off on friday and told she was hired under pretense, is there grounds for a law suit?

Unlikely, unless she was working under the protection of an enforceable contract.
