Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

My wife is unemployeed, however, she was supposed to start work next week with a staffing agency working for a Bank.

She received a phone call, to set an appointment for an over the phone interview for a different position at the same bank. She notified the staffing agency, to let them know that she was going to have an interview with this Bank (The staffing agencies client)

After she notified the staffing agency, her contact said that was ok, no problem. However, a few minutes later, she received a phone call from that persons manager, notifying my wife, that she was not going to be allowed to go to work next week as planned, because of this interview.

My wife is very upset and doesnt know what to do now. We have read through the documents that she signed with the staffing agency and can't find anything that says she violated any of their policies.

We are wondering if there is any legal action that we can take against the staffing agency?

Without reviewing these "documents", which presumably include your

wife's contract with this staffing agency, it would be difficult to say, one way

or the other (in my opinion).
