Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I work for the County Government at the courthouse in Virginia I have been there for 18 months and they just told me that they have been overpaying me this whole time. I had no idea and now they want it back. Can they do this ? and what do I do ?

As an employee of the Commonwealth, you certainly have the right to demand
written proof of your employer's claim(s), and, if in fact you are forced to pay
back these alleged overpayments and there is in your view insufficient proof
to support this action, you could initiate a grievance action against your agency
to contest it.
