Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I work overseas on a military contract, however my company is in Virginia. I live in Florida when not overseas. My employer paid for mandatory training, required every two years and had all employees sign a contract that they would pay back the training costs if employment was terminated prior to 6 months of work. Question is can the employer realy make me pay back the course costs? The employer is actually reimbursed by the military to pay for the training also? If this went to court would it go in my home state or where my employer is based? Also what kind of attorney would handle this case?

Thanks

Michael Hendrickson Law Office Michael E. Hendrickson

If you're sued, it would probably be in your home state of Florida, and you would likely want an attorney who handles breach of contract matters to represent you.
