Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I work for a trash company and they just recently docked my pay, and demoted me from a driver position to the back, because of assumtions that i was under the influence of drugs, which i am NOT, I wanted to know if they can do that, and if there was anything legally that i can do? I thought they had to drug test me to prove i was before that was to come.

Yes, " they can do that" and no, there is not(assuming that you're not working under the protection of a contract or collective bargaining type of agreement,)
