Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
Working abroad
I live in DC. I'm planning to move to
Ecuador for at least 6 months. The
company I work for is willing to allow
me to work from ''home'' while I'm
away. What are the legal implications
of this...I'm sure there are some tax
related laws I need to be aware of.

Re: Working abroad
No, for the circumstances which you've
described, I'm not aware of any special legal implications arising out of your proposed six month sojourn in Equador while contining to remain in the employ of your U.S. based employer. Your tax rates and liability for this relatively short period very likely would remain unchanged.
