Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

after working with a known carcinogen and developing bladder cancer.

I had worked at company for 32years.developed cancer and was told I had 2 yrs in the state of Va.to file a suit.I elected not to file. Then after 2 yrs. and 1 month I was laid off for lack of work. They want me to sign a release document that states that I wont sue for any reason in order to receive 3 months of severance pay.and also gave me a list of employees ages at the company .Maybe to suggest there was no age discrimination on the co. ,s part.I am 56 years old.Should I sign the release? I have 21 days to sign or give up severance.Do I have any recourse as far as filing suit?

Probably not, but you might want to have an attorney review this release document and the relevant facts to which it refers before you sign it.
