Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
your are currently working for a company. \nyou go up for promotion (shift management)\nthey do a background check (after working for 5 months) \nthey terminate you due to misdemeanors (traffic) and there are FTA related to it. there is a \"fugitive\" linked to it PRIOR to going in and taking care of the FTA and traffic (both related) but since the record still shows fugitive even after the FTA was taken care of. \n\ncan the company legally fire you?

Certainly, as Virginia is an employment at will jurisdiction where employees working without the protection of a contract can be summarily terminated without recourse for almost any reason that doesn't violate federal anti-discrimination laws
