Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

I was working as a Manager for this resturant for almost 2 years. I went in yesterday and was handed a letter of termination. Futher more the letter falsly accuses me of stealing and states that my final pay check will be held as restitution. I have already learned that I must file an unpaid wage claim with Virginia's DOL, but I have heard this can take a very long time. Is there anything else I can do?

You should bear in mind, however, that if there is any truth

to the employer's claim, such will normally serve as an

absolute defense to your tort action.
