Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
I was written up through legal and human resources for alleged complaints from employees. After 6 months of asking I was told no further details could be given becuase no formal investigation was conducted. Basically I was written up based on unproven complaints. I was also accused by human resources of retaliating against my employees and accused of approaching an employee of mine and asking if they turned me in. All of which are false accusations institigated by a disgrutled manager which is reflected in her review. Also, I have gotten an exceeds on my past 5 year reviews with above average on many areas. Do I have any recouse against the company for putting this information in my personel files without proof?

No, I would think not under the facts described (assuming that you are working without the protection of a contract or collective bargaining type of agreement.)
