Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
apartment lease
Can I be held to a 1 year lease if I am upgrading to purchase a home.
I just signed a renewel which begins a 1 year term in June. Can I get out of that?

Re: apartment lease
Upgrading, perhaps, from your perspective, but most likely not the landlord's. Therefore, I would suspect that you cannot "get out of that"(at least not without a penalty).
