Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
The apartment lease and all utilities is under my name, and I understand that a verbal agreement is very hard to prove. But if the verbal agreement was 50/50 on all, rent and utilities, and they fail to pay, will it hold up in court if I show proof that they were living the apartment?

Yes, that should help prove your claim but you would still have to prove that
they actually failed to pay what was owed under this alleged oral agreement---
probably your word against theirs.
