Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
My apartment office got broken into and they stole the. Checks and money orders for rent. How long does the office have to notify the residents and do we have to pay them back or does their insurance take care of that

How about, ASAP (as to notification)?
And, no, I would doubt that the tenants' insurers would
be providing coverage for losses of valuables under the circumstances described which were in the custody of the landlord and/or his agent.
