Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
Breaking lease agreement
I am a landlord and I have been wanting to do an inspection of the house. I always let the tenants know when I will be there, but when I arrive, they refuse to answer the door. The last time, after I left they all got into their car and left! The outside is a mess and I want to see the inside also.

Re: Breaking lease agreement
You're likely now at the point where
you must give your tenants formal written notice that they must either permit you to inspect the interior of the house without delay or that you will have to consider their refusal a material breach of the lease agreement and the basis for ensuing eviction proceedings.
Then, if they continue to refuse, proceed with their eviction.
Re: Breaking lease agreement
You have every right to inspect the house in reasonable times and if the tenant is allowing you than you may do this act by the order of court on the ground that tenant is breaking the lease agreement
