Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Breaking a Lease

I recently signed a lease in which the terms called for a penalty if I broke the lease as well as 2 months rent (750 per month). My move is solely due to work - I am accepting another position and am forced to move. Is there any way to avoid or mitigate the penalties on the lease?
