Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
My brother and i sign a 1year lease and moved into a house. 3 months later he moves out without notice. i informed the landlord that he had moved and that i could not afford to stay and would like to move. she will not let me out of the lease until she finds someone else to move in. i have only been paying my half of the rent. is there anything i can do?
