Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

co-habitation turned to landlord/tenant matter #2

Are there any negative results associated with to consenting to a judgment of possession? Will it harm my credit?

When do I consent to a judgment of possession? The notice says I must appear to dispute the case and have a date set for trial. Do I consent when I appear to set the date for trial, can I consent before the first appearance date, or should I wait for the trial date?

The space for the due date for the bill of particulars and grounds for defense are both blank - does this get filled in once a date is set for trial?

A judgment for possession of a premises is not a judgment for unpaid debt but merely gives the legal owner or owner's agent the right to physically take back(repossess) legally a rental property that was in another person's temporary possession and should have no effect on one's credit, but if you're concerned about it, procedurally or otherwise, merely ignore it and file your Answer & Grounds of Defense.
