Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
If I have a court date scheduled for an Unlawful Detainer for a tenant who is behind on their rent, can I accept payment from them AND still seek possession on the court date? Thank you.

Yes, but, the judge may allow the tenant to stay on (after listening to his or her side of the case).
