Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
My daughter has a lease violation against her & her lawyer advices her to accept a deal for a lesser amount.
My problem is that she has never seen or lived in the said premises in her life, it is clearly a case of wrong identity , since her former employer used her ID information to generate a lot of other issues eg opening credit cards in her name, initiating a business PIN and using it to create a business under her name. He is also the one who initiated this lease agreement. I think they forged her signature. The property witness says she was the one who signed the lease yet she had never seen her before that day. What does she do or say to the judge for them to order the police to investigate this whole fiasco?

Perhaps, it's time for your daughter to consult with another lawyer on
these matters.
