Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia
early termination of lease
If the tenant has given a 30 day notice to terminate early due to military orders and then the orders are pushed back does the tenant have rights to staying in the place until the original lease is up?

Re: early termination of lease
Probably not, unless the landlord agrees to it. I see nothing in the statute itself governing this issue that would appear to confer such a right. (See Va. Code Sec. 55-248.21:1.)
