Re: Evicting

You give no indication as to the status of your "friend", i.e., whether this person is in fact a tenant with an agreement as to the terms of her stay at your house(including the payment of rent) or merely someone whom you gave permission to stay for a few days as a guest and who has now turned into a squatter of sorts who refuses to leave.

If the former is the case, you should go to the clerk's office of your local general district court(civil division) and ask to complete the papers necessary for an eviction of this tenant. However, if the latter more aptly describes the situation(the squatter), you should summon local law enforcement authorities and have the person removed as a trespasser upon your property who refuses to leave voluntarily.
