Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Virginia

Hello.
Actually I didnot read whole lease contract. But there was a provision about contract cancellation fee which is 2 month rent payment. So, i gave a notice to vacate 4 days ago. Before of giving the notice, the assistant of manager told me that they will help me to find a tenant through craigslist etc. but yesterday they just sent me a lettter and wrote that i need to pay them 2 months cancellation fee.
The question is may i withdraw my notice and stay in apt till the end of contract?

So, go see them and explain why you would now

like to withdraw your notice of your intent to quit

the premises.
